Recently, and a few times in the past, we've talked about the Predatek Sandviper as a great lure for Murray cod in small water. TEAM PREDATEK members have caught heaps of Murray cod in the 50-25cm range on them.
What makes them good?: sweet casting combining distance and accuracy; can be retrieved erratically with flicks of the wrist and minimal fatigue; shallow-diving for shallow water; a subtle fish-like action and a slim body; great hook exposure; and slow-rising behaviour when you pause the retrieve. Most hits happen on the pause.
