The Wowfactor! calendar concept was about providing a premium quality calendar, with outstanding imagery, customised for a specific region.
A Wowfactor! calendar doesn't contain conventional or postcard images. It shows well known as well as less familiar places, but in a way that is dramatic and compelling.

Wowfactorpix sincerely thanks the following local businesses and organisations for supporting the Wowfactor! calendar.
"In many cases they've responded to a cold call from a 'stranger', and it's tremendously encouraging that they see merit in the photographs and value in this project. Thank you to *Olympus Imaging Australia for approving my use of the Olympus logo." Rob Smith - August 2007
Hi Rob, Thank you very, very much for the calendar, which I received today! I knew it would be good, but in fact it is much better than I had imagined it would be. You have every reason to be pleased with both your part of making it and those who printed it. Nice to see the combination of familiar and (to me) new pictures, and I like how some months have several pictures and some months only one. Monthly photo tips are good, and so is space for writing your (my) own notes. Good of you to give information about camera settings. Good and interesting, but not too much, text about the different pictures and also good text about you/the photographer. It must have been an awful lot of work making a quality calendar like this one. I hope the sales will be good and make you feel that all the work and time has been well spent and worthwhile. Have a nice day! :-) Regards, Caroline (Caroline Skilbred, Norway)

Rob Smith has been a freelance photographer for over 25 years, beginning as a contributor to national fishing and photography magazines. He moved to Port Macquarie from Inverell in 1997 and now works in the fields of corporate photography, graphic design and visual communications, as well as being a partner in a fishing lure manufacturing and exporting business.
As a youngster, Rob was interested in art and his parents developed his talent by funding a correspondence course through Famous Artists School of Westport, Connecticut.
Laurie Smith died in 1973, leaving a 35mm camera to his 17 year old son. Rob soon discovered greater creative freedom using lenses and film than he'd known with brushes and canvas.
Film photography was a fascination, but digital was a revelation! With the purchase of his first digital SLR camera in 2004, Rob's passion for photography was rekindled.
Rob's primary photograpic interests are landscape and nature, with a strong preference for original viewpoints, dramatic lighting and atmosphere. His photographs have been exhibited locally and overseas and featured in international calendars in 2006 and 2007, as well as in Port Macquarie Hastings calendars in those same years.
These and competition successes have prompted this wowfactor! calendar as a solo showcase for his work in the beautiful locales of the Mid North Coast. Enjoy!
